Set Favorite / Underdog before reading a spread — “fails to cover” means lost or tied as the −0.5 favorite but lost outright as the +0.5 dog, so a pooled rate isn’t bettable. Set ties to match your book: two-way moneylines push, three-way ones make the draw a loss and pay more (~1.3pp on the MLB F5 combo). Lines are the consensus closing line across every book that posted the market.
